Special Installation Notice for Training Wheels

 Confused about buying training wheels?

Ⅰ. Is my bike compatible with training wheels?

In general, bikes that are 20 inches and above do not come with training wheels. However, compatibility varies by model — some bikes can still support training wheels if purchased separately.
Please note:
Bikes equipped with a gear system (derailleur) are not compatible with training wheels. Please double-check your product specifications before purchasing.

If you're unsure whether your bike supports training wheels, we recommend contacting our customer service team(support@glercbikes.com) before placing your order.

Ⅱ. How should I choose the right training wheels?

If you want to purchase training wheels as a separate accessory, please:

  • Carefully review the product description to ensure compatibility with your bike.

  • Choose training wheels that match the wheel size of your bike (e.g., 12", 14", 16", etc.).

This helps ensure a proper and safe fit.

Ⅲ. What should I pay attention to during installation?

When installing training wheels:

  • Ensure both wheels are set at the same height.

  • Make sure all screws and bolts are securely tightened.

  • Adjust the training wheels to sit slightly above the ground (about 0.5 to 1 cm higher than the rear wheel).
This way, they won't touch the ground during normal riding, but will provide balance support when the bike tilts. This setup encourages your child to gradually develop independent balance.

Tip: Installation should be assisted by an adult. If needed, seek help from a professional bike technician.
